Seven In Running For NAN Grand Chief

Former Sioux Lookout Mayor Lawrence Martin is in the running to become the next Grand Chief of the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation.
Seven names are on the list for the top post.
Current Deputy Grand Chief’s Terry Waboose and Mike Metatawabin are also in the mix.
The head of Wawatay Navid Neegan, Harvey Yesno, Doug Semple and Brian Davey are the other candidates.
The election is August 15th.
The position became open when Stan Beardy was elected Chiefs of Ontario Regional Chief last month.
