Several Issues Discussed in Ottawa

It was 2006 when a consultants report determined the Dryden Overpass needed emergency repairs.
Since that time the City has tried and failed to secure Provincial funding for the upgrades.
Councilor Mike Wood says the issue was raised at the recent Association of Municipalities of Ontario Conference in Ottawa.
Wood says they politely told Transportation Minister Jim Bradley that enough is enough, its a critical link, and they need the money now before chunks of concrete fall down on trains.
Wood adds the need to relocate Ghost Lake Road near the MNR Fire base was also raised with the Transportation Minister.
Funding to help DMTS expand, the state of the forest industry, support for mining and airport expansion were also touched on at the AMO Conference.
