A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is now in effect in the Dryden and Ignace area.
A Watch is in place in other parts of the region.
Bill Laidlaw from Signal Weather Services says we can expect lightning, thunder and maybe even hail.
Laidlaw says it’s a strong system, with howling winds and rain coming down in buckets at times.
He believes the narrow band will head out of our area early to mid afternoon.
Laidlaw says the winds will be shifting to the west later on today, and that will help dry things out again.
