For the most part construction of Dryden’s new Sewage Treatment Plant is running smoothly.
The project is scheduled for completion next May, about 2-months late, something Director of Engineering and Public Works Mike Louttit says is common.
The roughly $29.9-million project is under budget at this point.
Louttit says they need to resolve an on-going pumping station construction issue.
Louttit adds the cause of a June 6th incident that saw a large crain fall into a sink hole is under investigation
Louttit says safety at the work site does need to be stepped up.
One person has been injured during construction and a number of recorded incidents have occurred.
