Shooting a deer on private property is one thing, but doing so in a residential area only makes matters worse.
A Vermont hunter has been fined $1,500 for the above offences.
Court heard that 58-year-old Rodney Bicknell of Forest Dale spotted a deer while driving on Highway 596, north of Kenora last November.
Bicknell parked in a private driveway and shot and killed the buck.
His high-powered rifle was fired in a high traffic corridor for residents, cottagers and commuters to Minaki and Whitedog.
