A 17-year-old man has been arrested following reports of a shooting in Wunnumin Lake First Nation.
Wunnumin Lake Police were notified on Friday evening that shots had been fired within the community.
Nishnawbe-Aski Nation Police assisted in an investigation, and Sergeant Jackie George says they came across a 25-year-old with injuries.
The victim was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with injuries and is listed in stable condition.
No name has been released.
Meantime, police say the suspect, whose name can’t be released, has been charged with Attempted Murder and Discharging A Firearm with Intent.
Police also believe he is connected to reports of a separate shooting, and details in that investigation will be revealed at a later date.
