Donations can be dropped off between Wednesday, May 19 and Friday, May 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with advance notice requested by calling 807-223-5937 for drop-off directions.

Whether you’re searching for hidden treasures or looking to support a local initiative, this garage sale offers a simple way to make a difference.

Lions Clubs BBQ & Bake Sale

On Saturday, May 23, three local Lions Clubs are teaming up for a joint fundraising effort. The Vermilion Bay, Dryden, and Dryden Trillium Lions Clubs will host a BBQ and bake sale from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Dryden Canadian Tire parking lot.

This collaborative event will raise funds for the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, a program that provides life-changing assistance dogs to Canadians with disabilities.

Visitors can enjoy classic barbecue favourites and homemade baked goods while supporting an important national cause. It’s a chance to grab lunch, satisfy a sweet tooth, and support the Lions’ ongoing commitment to community service.

Wabigoon Welcomes New-To-You Thrift Market

The Wabigoon community is celebrating the grand opening of its New-To-You Thrift Market on Sunday, May 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Wabigoon Memorial Hall.

This new space aims to offer affordable shopping options while promoting reuse and sustainability. To mark the occasion, organizers are inviting residents to stop by, browse the selection, and enjoy a free community barbecue while supplies last.

The grand opening is designed not just as a shopping opportunity, but as a chance to connect with neighbours and celebrate a new addition to the local community.
