Shorthanded Marker Muzzles Ice Dogs

After a hot start to the SIJHL season, the Dryden Ice Dogs have now dropped three straight.

The latest setback was Tuesday night in Fort Frances with the Dogs losing 3-2.

Coach Clint Mylymock says the shorthanded winner was the difference maker.

Jake Ransom and Ryan Lobreau found the back of the net for Drdyen who outshot the Lakers 31-27.

After playing 8-games in 12-days, the Ice Dogs finally receive a break.

Their next game isn’t until October 8th.

Mylymock says the team will receive a day-off Wednesday and spend the remaining time on special teams play and defensive coverage.
