The Conservatives say its another slap in the face for Northern Ontario communities hit hard by the downturn in the forest industry.
The Provincial Government was given $358-million by the Federal Government 2-years ago to set up a Community Development Trust Fund.
MPP Norm Miller says he’s spent the past 7-months trying to find out where the money went.
Miller says he found out just this week, after filing a request under the Freedom of Information Act, that the money targeted for the program
disappeared in the Province’s general revenues.
He says the funding was for 3-years, so its still possible that $119-million could be salvaged, if the Province decides to set the money aside.
