One of our area’s most accomplished musicians has announced she’ll stop performing after this year. Shy-Anne Hvorka says it’s time to move on to other things and she is stepping back from the music industry with a positive attitude. Hvorka used her Facebook page to make the announcement yesterday. She’s getting married in a couple of weeks and, having earned degrees in Music and Education, plans to teach and mentor youth. Raised and educated in Red Lake, Shy-Anne now lives near Nipigon. She is a multiple award-winner with four albums to her credit. Her most recent effort, “Bones,” came out earlier this summer and is available on iTunes.
