Dryden Ice Dogs Coach Randy Lulashnick made his first All-Star appearance count, leading Team Regional to a 13-10 win over Team Thunder Bay in the SIJHL All-Star game Saturday in Fort Frances.
Ice Dog Captain Colin MacIntosh powered the Regional team with a hat-trick.
The day before, 2-Ice Dogs stole the show in the skills competition.
Drew Heinen won the hardest shot competition with a 93-miles-per hour
blast, with Marlon Gardner finishing just behind at 92.7.
Fort William North Star Captain and Red Lake’s Sean Bassingthwaite was
the most accurate in the target shooting competition.
In High School hockey, the Red Lake Rams earned a split on home ice
on the weekend.
The Rams dropped the opener 7-2 to Kenora but rebounded with a 4-2 win
over the Broncos.
The Dryden Eagles were in Winnipeg for a weekend Tournament and finished with a 1-0-2 record.
