SIJHL Coaching Change

The Sioux Lookout Flyers Jr A Hockey Club introduce their new Head Coach/General Manager, Kurt Walsten. Kurt will take over Al MacDonald’s duties effective January 1. MacDonald’s will remain with the Flyers organization continuing to assist at the Flyers executive level with administration and management.
Kurt Walsten comes to the Flyers from the Miramichi Jr A Timberwolves of the Atlantic Jr A Hockey League where he was Assistant Coach/GM from 2009. Kurt brings extensive hockey background to the Flyers. He played and coached at the professional level for fifteen years, including two years in Sweden. Kurt coached in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for two years prior to going to the Atlantic League in 2009.
