The sudden loss of the Sioux Lookout Flyers has left the Superior International Junior Hockey League scrambling.
The Flyers have announced a leave of absence for the year citing various issues.
Commissioner Ron Whitehead says the league and its clubs are now working diligently to formulate an updated league schedule.
He expects the schedule to be released in the coming days.
Whitehead says the schedule will work well for all teams, fans and sponsors.
The Dryden Ice Dogs are in action today and tomorrow as they travel to Minnesota to take on the Iron Rangers.
