The Superior International Junior Hockey League won’t be changing its playoff format this year.
The first and second place teams at the end of the regular season will receive first round byes.
The third-place team will face the sixth-place team and the number four seed will meet the fifth ranked club in a Best-of-5 Quarter-Final.
The decision was made at the league Annual General Meeting.
Possible expansion in both Canada and the United States for 2019-2020, ongoing negotiations with corporate partnerships and new marketing strategies were also discussed.
