The SIJHL Showcase day one action is in the books in Spooner, Wisconsin. The Dryden GM Ice Dogs lost the final game of the day yesterday to Thief River Falls. The score was 7-4 in favour of the Norskies. Earlier the Red Lake Miners put away the Wisconsin Lumberjacks 5-2 and the Thunder Bay North Stars easily beat the Fort Frances Lakers 6-2.
The final day of the Showcase begins at 1:15 this afternoon as the Thunder Bay North Stars take on Thief River Falls. The Red Lake Miners face off against Fort Frances at 4:15 and the Dryden GM Ice Dogs finish off the day and Showcase at 7:15 tonight matched up against the Wisconsin Lumberjacks.
CKDR’s Mike Ebbeling will have the game action of the Ice Dogs – Lumberjacks contest shortly after 7 o’clock.
