Silver For Eagles Girls; Strong Showing For Boys

A good weekend in Manitoba for the Dryden Eagles High School Hockey teams.

The Girls won a Silver medal at the PCI Tournament in Portage, Manitoba over the weekend.

The Eagles fell to the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints 3-2 in a shootout in the championship game.

Corissa Jensson and Lauryn Loyer scored for Dryden.

That was the only loss for the Eagles.

The Dryden Boys were in Brandon for a Tournament.

The Eagles made the ‘A’ side bracket after a perfect round-robin.

They fell to the Prairie Mountain Mustangs and Westwood Collegiate in the playoff round.

The final game was a thriller as Westwood Collegiate scored with seven seconds left in regulation to pull out a 4-3 win.

Dryden was outshot 41-11, with Aidan Butts playing strong in between the pipes.
