The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is determined to find the source of sheens on Town Beach.
Manager of Corporate Services Brian MacKinnon says they have determined it could be organic bacterial source or petroleum hydrocarbon contamination.
MacKinnon says they are taking interim steps to clean the beach site which includes removing stained sand and replacing it with new sand.
The Township has set up a toll-free line for beach goers to report additional staining which is 1-844-497-0997
