A hunter from Sioux Lookout has been fined $3500 for shooting at a moose decoy.
The Court heard that back in September Terry Jewell was in his vehicle when he spotted the decoy.
Jewell then got out of his vehicle and fired a high powered rifle at the moose while standing on the road north of Savant Lake.
Jewell pleaded guilty to unsafe hunting and received a three year hunting suspension along with a hefty fine.
