Two people have been arrested in Sioux Lookout following a serious assault.
The OPP say two people sustained life-threatening injuries after after being attacked with a weapon in the area of Queen Street and 5th Avenue North in the community Sunday night.
Police located one person in medical distress in that location and a second person was found nearby with life-threatening injuries.
As a result 26 Terralene Matthews of Sioux Lookout and 31 year old Rory Keesickquayash were arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Matthews also faces a charge of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Matthews remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Kenora Court today on the charges.
