Sioux Lookout Planning Appeal

An Ontario Superior Court of Justice has ruled that the Lac Seul and Pelican Falls Road Network is a Municipal responsibility.
Sioux Lookout CAO Merlin Dewing says this has been an on-going issue since annexation in 1998.
Dewing says it costs the Municipality $170,000 a year to maintain the roads, but notes the cost to upgrade the roads to a Municipal standard is in the millions.
Sioux Lookout is going to appeal the decision.
The move also impacts Goodie Lake Road and Frenchman’s Head Road.
