Sioux Lookout will no longer act as the service provider for home support.
The Municipality has given the Ministry of Health the required 90 days notice.
CAO John Baird says Council feels its better that someone in the Health Care field handle the delivery of home support services.
Baird stresses that the Town will continue to operate the programs until a new provider is in place.
Sioux Lookout is the only Northwestern Ontario municipality currently handling home support programs.
Currently, the 24 hour care is delivered to 20 clients in the Sioux Lookout area.
