Sioux Lookout Selected For Unique Program

Sioux Lookout has been selected to take part in a First Nations-Municipal Community Economic Development initiative.
The municipality is one of 14 from across Canada to be asked to participate.
Chief Administrative Officer Ann Mitchell says they can be proud to have been chosen to take part in this important project.
Mitchell says they will be working with Lac Seul and Big Trout Lake to develop economic opportunities.
The three communities will meet for a second time in March.
Mitchell says the goal of that meeting will be to develop specific projects.
Mitchell is hoping their plan becomes the framework for future programs across the country.
