Sioux Lookout Woman Found Injured On CN Tracks

A 25-year-old woman faces charges but is lucky to be alive after she was found on the railway tracks in Sioux Lookout.

Provincial Police were called to the CN tracks near the West End Train Bridge on Wednesday night.

OPP say an intoxicated woman tripped and fell between the tracks and wasn’t located until a group of hikers found her while walking in the area.

OPP say emergency personnel had to attend the scene on foot because the incident happened in an isolated area.

CN Rail was also dispatched to assist due to the woman’s injuries and intoxicated condition.

OPP say Whitney Beardy was treated and released from hospital.
