The Ministry of Transportation has confirmed it will be going ahead with the construction of a new bridge in Sioux Narrows this year.
The provincial government announced it is seeking tenders for the multi-million dollar project.
For the past two years, a temporary, one-lane bridge has been in place, after the historic wooden bridge was deemed unsafe.
Work on the bridge is expected to get underway this summer, but the exact cost of the project won’t be known until the tender is finally awarded.
