Sioux Narrows/Nestor Falls Approves Budget

Another Northwestern Ontario community has approved its 2011 Municipal Budget.
The average property owner in Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls can expect to pay almost 10% more in taxes this year than last year.
The budget contained a minor hike of 0.6% in the mill rate.
However, Council was handcuffed by increasing social service and policing costs as well as an 8.9% increase in the Town’s overall property assessment.
