Site Selection Process For New School Underway

The Director of Education for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says they plan to meet with the architect right away to begin the site selection process for the new high school in Sioux Lookout.
Sean Monteith admits they are restricted on where they can build but they do have a shortlist that includes 2-sites owned by the Board.
Monteith says they have already been working closely with the municipality and the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Meantime, Monteith notes there’s no cookie-cutter design considered for the school.
He adds parents, staff and students will have a major say in the design of the new school.
