The Provincial Police have contacted the Special Investigations Unit to look into a weekend incident in Dryden.
The OPP say police stopped a vehicle on Highway 17 around 1:45 last Saturday afternoon.
OPP say during the arrest of the male driver, an altercation between him and officers occurred.
Police say the man later went into medical distress and he was transported to hospital for treatment.
No other details are being provided.
The SIU can be contacted anytime someone is injured while coming in contact with police.
