SIU Looking Into Fatal Crash

Ontario’s police watchdog has been called in after a 42-year-old woman was killed in a collision while being transported by provincial police in Kenora.
The Special Investigations Unit says officers were transporting a woman in custody to the Kenora detachment at about 2 a.m. Sunday when their cruiser collided with a tractor trailer on Highway 17-A, near Redditt Road.
The SIU says the woman died as a result of the collision while the two officers and the driver of the tractor trailer did not suffer serious injuries.
