The Special Investigations Unit has cleared an Ignace OPP officer of any wrongdoing after a 22-year-old man suffered a broken wrist last month.
On July 17th, officers pursued 2 Alberta men in connection with a number of criminal offences committed in Dryden and Ignace.
One of the accused, Mark Stevens suffered a broken wrist during the chase.
The SIU determined there was no credible evidence that the officer used more force than necessary in arresting Stevens, and the injury was not caused by the OPP constable.
Both of the accused remain in custody on numerous charges including break and enter.
