Six New COVID-19 Cases

The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting six new positive cases of COVID-19.

Four are in the Sioux Lookout region and two are in the Rainy River District.

Follow up with the people involved and their contacts is underway and anyone identified as a contact for any of the cases will be notified directly.

As for the Thunder Bay District, another day with double-digit COVID-19 cases.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit confirmed 40 more infections today with 386 active cases in the district.

At the Regional Hospital, another eight people are now being treated for COVID-19 symptoms.

There are 35 patients in the COVID ward, including 11 in intensive care.

Across the province, 990 cases were confirmed today.
