Six people seeking two Ignace council seats

The vacancies on Ignace Town Council have drawn some interest.

A total of six people have applied for the two vacant seats.

Earlier this month, the potential council candidates made presentations to the existing members of town council.

Now, a private firm will begin scoring each of the candidates and make a final report and council will cast their votes.

The two successful candidates will be announced on July 3rd after being notified in writing.

The vacancies were created after the mayor and another councillor abruptly resigned back in April.
