Skateboard Construction Going Strong

Local skateboard enthusiasts are hoping the warm weather can stick
around for a few more weeks as the new Skateboard Park is expected to be
completed by the end of this month.
Director of Community Services Bill Latham says construction is
underway and crews are expected to install the modular pieces on the 18th.
Latham says once the pieces are in place, they will pore the concrete.
The City is hoping to open the Skateboard Park the final week of
September as it takes about 4 days for the concrete to dry.
