Lake of the Woods Search and Rescue was called out over the weekend to help out two snowmobilers in distress.
On Friday night, one sled went through the ice near kenora,
while another was stranded on an island on Lake of the Woods by poor ice conditions.
Both sledders were part of a group of seven Manitobans trying to get to Clearwater Bay.
At one point they got separated from their friends and ended up in unfamiliar territory.
Fortunately, the had a cell phone with them and were able to call for help.
Search and Rescue was able to locate them using their air boat.
No-one was injured, though one of the men got wet after going through the ice.
