A poor 40-minutes of play was the downfall for the Dryden Ice Dogs Wednesday night.
The Sioux Lookout Flyers took advantage of a tired Dogs team en route to a 4-1 win at the Dryden Memorial Arena.
Chris Hoffman scored twice, while Matt Grove and Max Strasser added singles.
Jesse Linner ruined Jayme Brattengeier’s shut-out bid with just over 3-minutes left to play in the game.
Brattengeier finished with 40-saves, 15 of which came in the third period.
Sioux Lookout leaped ahead of the Ice Dogs for 4th place in the SIJHL standings with the victory.
