A new survey finds social media hasn’t caught on with small businesses in Canada.
The survey, conducted for Rogers, finds only 16% of businesses with 5-employees or fewer use social media like Facebook and Twitter.
Rogers Vice-President Tracy Markwood expects things to change.
Markwood says more and more young people are entering the world of small business.
The survey also finds 80% of micro-business owners use mobile devices and apps.
But only 20% use cloud-technology, things like Office 365 and Drop Box.
About four in 10 of the micro-business owners surveyed in Ontario work from home, and 95% said it’s their only source of income.
