Small Earthquake Near Fort Frances

Natural Resources Canada is now confirming an earthquake near Fort Frances on the weekend.
It measured 1.5 on the Richter Scale with the epicentre about 30 kilometres north of town in Rainy Lake near Cherry Island.
A loud noise could be heard and felt by residents in and around the Fort and the Falls, early Saturday evening.
It’s the second such shake in the Rainy River district in March.
Natural Resources Canada says a 1.9 tremor occurred 50 kilometres north of Atikokan on March 3rd.
