Small Hike in Taxi Rates

It will soon cost you a little more money to call a cab in Dryden.
Council is expected to approve a request next Monday to raise taxi fares by 2.5%
The move will result in an extra cent for every 1/10th of a kilometre traveled.
George’s Taxi says with the Harmonized Sales Tax coming in, they need to recoup their losses.
The company warns in a letter to the City that without the increase, they would be forced to close their doors.
