The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has approved a very modest pay increase for incoming trustees.
There will be a number of new faces at the public school board table when the municipal elections come to a close on October 22nd.
Right now, trustees receive a base honorarium of $5,900 a year, plus an extra amount based on the number of students.
Because there was a slight increase in enrolment this year, the honorarium will be going up by about one dollar a month.
The $12 hike will be in place in each of the next four years.
