Small Tax Hike For Atikokanites

Atikokanites will be facing a two percent municipal tax increase this year.
The Township has approved its 2002 budget and there will be no hikes for industrial and commercial property taxes.
Atikokan Mayor Dennis Brown says council is looking at a number of capital projects in the township this year.
He says road and sewer work is needed along with repairs to water pipes, landfill site work and improvements to the Atikokan Township Police Station.
