Smoke Alarm Saves Dinorwic Home Owner

A working smoke alarm is credited with saving the life of a Dinorwic home owner.
Wabigoon Fire Crews were called to a house fire at Pine Avenue just before 3 o’clock Thursday morning.
10 members of the Fire Service spent more then 5-hours fighting the stubborn blaze.
The home owner managed to escape thanks to the smoke alarm and the neighbouring home was also evacuated as a precaution.
The home was completely destroyed and the cause has been narrowed down to a candle burning in the living room.
