Heavy smoke continues to blanket Red Lake and Sioux Lookout and smoke continues to hover around Dryden.
Dr. James Arthurs is the Medical Officer of Health for the Northwestern Health Unit and says his offices have been inundated with calls from residents who are suffering from the smoke.
Arthurs is recommending that people stay inside and be inactive and that you keep your windows and doors closed.
Arthurs says forest fire smoke is most harmful to children, the elderly, pregnant women and anyone with heart and lung conditions.
