Smoking Ban Request Expected Monday Night

Officials with the Northwestern Health Unit will make a push for a new smoke free bylaw at Dryden’s Committee of the Whole meeting tonight.
The Health Unit is expected to lobby for a smoking ban on patios, parks, recreational fields and other public spaces.
The purpose of the bylaw would be to protect people, especially children, from second hand smoke.
The public meeting starts at 7 o’clock at City Hall.
