Smoking Charge Laid

The Northwestern Health Unit has laid its first charge of smoking in
an indoor workplace or public place.
Tobacco Strategy Manager Jennifer McKibbon says since the Smoke Free
Ontario Act came into effect, they’ve charged 16-people for selling
cigarettes to youth under the age of 19.
The Health Unit has also been targeting parents who smoke while their
kids are still in the vehicle.
