Snowmachiner Dies of Exposure

OPP say foul play was not a factor in the death of a North Spirit Lake man.
Police say an autopsy confirms 24-year-old Jobe Rae died of exposure during a snowmachine trip with two friends.
Police say Rae and two others left North Spirit Lake by snowmachine last Tuesday with plans to return later in the day.
On their way back to the community, two of the men stopped at a cabin fearing they would run out of gas while Rae continued on alone.
Rae was found last Wednesday about 14 kilometres south of North Spirit Lake, his snowmachine had run out of gas.
Temperatures in the area had been hovering in the -40 degree range.
The two other men were found safe and sound.
