The Dryden Senior Soccer League finals are set.
The Northtown Masonry Steelers with play the Dryden GM Benfica for the women’s title while the SD Mechanical Arsenal will play Skene Transfer and Supply Juventus for the men’s title.
Both games are slated for Saturday at the Dryden Soccer Complex on Raposo Field.
The women’s game starts at 4 o’clock, with the Men’s game to follow.
To get to the finals Benfica defeated the Breezers 6-1 in one semi-final with Erin Gamble scoring a hat trick while in the other semi-final the Steelers defeated the SL Legends 3-2 with Lauren Shoguchi scoring the winning goal. On the men’s side, Juventus took out the SL Hurricanes 4-3 in an exciting match that was decided by penalty kicks. Stephen Laidlaw had the game winning kick The other semi saw Daniel Arndt score the lone goal as Arsenal defeated United 1-0. Carney McConnachie had a well earned shutout in goal for Arsenal.
