The Northwestern Health Unit says there has never been a human case
of West Nile or a positive mosquitoe identified in the Kenora and Rainy
River Districts.
The re-assurance comes after 11-birds tested positive for the virus
in Dryden, Red Lake, Atikokan and Fort Frances.
Spokesperson Al Mathers says the collection program will be suspended
in those areas.
