Further repair work will take place this spring on the International Bridge linking Rainy River and Baudette, Minnesota according to the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.
A truck with a large piece of logging equipment damaged the bridge last week.
MTO regional manager Larry Lambert says engineer inspections have determined the bridge is now safe for all legal highway loads.
And as per normal procedure, Lambert adds the province will seek the costs of bridge repairs from either the truck driver, trucking company or insurance company.
