Spartans Top Eagles to Remain Perfect

The Dryden Eagles couldn’t play the role of dragon slayer as the Blue and Gold dropped a 21-1 decision to undefeated Sisler in Winnipeg High School Football Thursday.
The Eagles opened the game with a 82-yard drive but came up with only a single play.
The Spartans would add two majors late, before scoring another TD in the second half.
Coach Geoff Zilkalns says they had numerous long drives but couldn’t punch the ball into the end zone.
He says the next couple of weeks will be key as the Eagles play teams with similar records.
Jesse Gerula led the Eagle attack with 11 carries for 71-yards, as well as 5-catches for 30-yards.
He also threw a 26-yard pass to Jhustin Czajkowski.
Shane Kirton threw for 24-yards and ran for another 52.
Defensively Caine Benham had 5-tackles and caused a fumble.
Tanner Russell had 9-tackles and Ray Durand had 2-tackles and recovered 2-fumbles.
