Over 200-people packed the Dryden Legion Saturday night to celebreate
the 80th anniversary of the Legion, 105th year of the Victoria Cross and
60th anniversary of the War Bride.
9-War Brides living in the Dryden area were in attendance including
Jessie Apland.
Apland looks back on her trip from Scotland to Canada.
Apland says it was a relief to escape the bombings and to be greeted
by family upon her arrival in Saskatchewan.
She notes when say first came to the country there was always
someone from the Canadian army to help.
