Crews are just beginning to clear the snow from last night’s storm.
While there are no closures to report, most of the roads in the area are snow-covered, slushy with some slippery sections.
About five centimeters of wet snow fell overnight.
Gerald Cheng with Environment Canada says the good news is that it will stay fairly mild over the next few days.
“You know what I see is the temperatures right after, Wednesday and Thursday, at least for the daytime, the highs will be above zero, so that will help with the slight melting of the snow,” says Cheng.
Cheng adds while it will remain fairly mild over the next few days, temperatures cool off towards the weekend.
“You know we had a spectacular weekend in terms of temperatures, but next weekend won’t be like that. In fact, we are expecting below seasonal temperatures before things go back up again next work week.”
Motorists are advised to take their time getting to their destination this morning.
